Let's all say hi to Jessica! Tell us a little bit about yourself: Hi! I'm Jessica Griffin, and I'm a paper crafting enthusiast! I love creating banners for all occasions, altered art pieces, and making mini albums for friends and family. I married my high school sweet heart in 2006 and together we have three young children. Sometimes, it's hard to tell who's my biggest fan- my kids, or my husband! With out their love, support, and beautiful faces to photograph, I wouldn't be where I am today. (Which is behind in all of my crafting!) -When did you start crafting? I've crafted for as long as I can remember. When I was in … [Read more...]

Meet the Design Team: Tiffany Heilman
Today we're meeting DT member Tiffany! -When did you start crafting? I have been crafting since I was little. My Aunt Betty would bring over all sorts of crafts for us to make, including homemade ornaments, Christmas decorations, and cross stitch. My Aunt Helen taught me to Knit and Crochet, which I forgot how to do. I was introduced to stamping and scrapbooking in 2001 and haven't stopped since. It has honestly been the only hobby that I have not lost interest in. Must be kismet :) -What is your favorite embellishment for your projects? I love fall! From now through the end of the year (maybe even into February) is my favorite time of the year! So many great holidays to make stuff for. Tutorial Tuesday: Brad Attack!
I saw candy corn at the store this weekend and was reminded of how cute those little things are, plus they are just so delicious! Here's the layout I did in Illustrator! Just print it here and you're ready to go! Happy Monday!
Boy I love the weekend! I was super busy this weekend, but it was filled with creative time so I can't complain too much! I went to the Plano Balloon Festival. Have you ever seen lots of hot air balloons in one place, in the dark, with flickering lights? It's beautiful! Like huge fireflies in the field! If you ever get the chance to visit a Balloon Festival, GO! (I'll show you a hot air balloon inspired project later this week!) I was also asked to teach a class at my church on making little sweets. How'd they know I have a really bad sweet tooth? We made a few simple projects, most of which involved chocolate-10 pounds of … [Read more...]
Tutorial Tuesday: Fabric Flower Necklace
I was working on a home decor project and couldn't get enough of these cute little red poppies I was making so I knew I had to make something I could wear one with. (Did I tell you I'm redesigning my living room/dining room/kitchen with a new color palette? I couldn't be more excited about it! You can see my new color palette and the inspiration behind it at Fresh Nest Design.) I decided on a necklace and kept it pretty simple with just a touch of black and silver. It's super simple, just make a few bead pieces mixing 2-3 beads, attach them to some silver chain, hand stitch your flower to the necklace and voila, you're done! I think … [Read more...]
