I’ve been paying more attention lately to French recipes, interiors, and crafts. I’ve always loved everything French and am looking forward to the trip my husband and I have planned in mere weeks! We’ve finally bitten the bullet and will be traveling to Europe once he graduates with his graduate degree! I couldn’t be more thrilled, excited, and humbled, to be able to have such a wonderful opportunity. Among other locations in Europe we’ll be spending 5 days in Paris! Today’s favorites are inspired by the French!
Vanilla and Blackberry French Macaroons. I plan on visiting Laduree, whose macaroons are supposed to be fabulous!
Paris Mugs from Paris Chic Boutique on Etsy.
Homemade Beignets. They are basically homemade doughnuts that you can fill with a fruit, chocolate, or cream filling. Beignets sounds WAY better than doughnuts though!
Marie Claire Idees This is my FAVORITE magazine! I’ve canceled a few subscriptions just so I could get this one! They’ve also added two additional issues each year, you’ll get 6 instead of 4! Yea! It’s FILLED with inspiration, projects, and gorgeous photos! I know some French so I can make my way through the text, but even if you don’t know any, it’s easy to tell what goes on! Here’s their blog too: Marie Claire Idees. (The link will take you directly to the English translation, though it’s not fully translated, you should be able to get the gist of it.)
Have a fantastic weekend!

Congrats for your husband and the upcoming trip, Erin. If you visit Laudree, don’t miss Pierre Herme. His shop is a block away. :)

Oh yay! Will you be near Copenhagen? Paris will be wonderful! I miss macaroons so much! We had a bakery about two hours away from us in Rabat that had the most amazing macaroons… totally worth the drive! :-) BUT the ones at Laduree were the best I have ever eaten. EVER! And their chocolate croissants made me want to cry- yes, that good! You need to go by Jeff du Bruges for chocolate while you are there… yet another treat that could make you cry! My favorite magazine is Elle Decor. I love the French version- the colors are always so great!
Bon voyage!!
