I love to learn new things! I figured I’d post about a few of the things I learned this week:
– After getting an oil change and having them tell me that I needed new air filters in my car, for a “great” price of $70 I declined and figured I’d do it myself. (They were pretty dirty so I figured that was a legitimate thing that needed to be done.) The parts were a little under $30. 15-20 minutes later, with a bit of help from Google and YouTube I had two new filters! (Most annoying thing was that they tried to convince me I needed new windshield wipers. What they didn’t know was that I’d just switched them out two weeks prior.)
Oil Mechanic: Ma’am, it looks like you might need some new wiper blades too.
Me: Really? Do they look bad?
Oil Mechanic: Yes, I’d recommend replacing them if I were you.
Me: No thanks, I actually replaced them two weeks ago.
Oil Mechanic: (Staring for a moment) Oh, well, ok.
(Caught them trying to sell me something I didn’t need, sheesh!)
-Learned how to Needle Punch (Or is it Punch Needle? The verdict is still out on the correct name.) I’ll share a tutorial soon! I couldn’t believe just how easy it was! I sat down to watch a movie and an hour later this little pumpkin was done. (Recognize the pumpkin? It’s from one of my retired stamp sets: Autumn Blessings!)
