I’ve been having lots of fun with some Echino Metallic fabric that Callie from CityCraft sent me to play around with. She carries it in 3 great colorways and I had such a hard time deciding what to make with them!
The one on the top with the royal blue, black, and pink is destined for a project that is in the works but I used the middle one to make a Garden Party Clutch!
I love how, because this is a nice heavy home decor weight fabric, I was able to forgo most of the interfacing in this pattern. I added a little medium weight to the top band and lining and didn’t need anything heavier for the exterior. It’s hard to tell in the photos but the light background has a super gorgeous metallic sheen to it and the pattern is woven with a silky chenille.
P.S. I’ll be there teaching one of the Girl’s Sewing Camps in just a few weeks! I’m super excited to be showing young sewistas how much fun it is to sew! They’ve got lots of half and full day camps scheduled throughout the summer!
Happy Sewing,
